The Olympic Green

This place is huge!  The Olympic Green is the area where most of the Venues are for the games.  A massive area that is completely new. Notice on the map, the shaded area, how much land this really is.

I think it is probably about 6-8 miles long, I walked about 2 miles of it, and yes it is still Hot and Humid here, about 95 degrees.  This whole area wasn't even here in 2004, and as of May, the streets were still dirt. Check out the history of the Olympic Green.  Click on the Panoramic view for details.

Here are some more pictures of the Green.

My question exactly, have they been working you hard yet?
Try to watch some of the opening ceremonies even if they have you working.

I am actually going to the opening ceremonies! and yes, the work has been there, but the hard work is yet to come.

I will be sure to post alot of opening ceremony pictures though! So stay tuned!

and that piece of video you sent me, I couldn't open, but yes, that is one of the things I am working on.

The one thing I am working on today will have Mayor Daley in attendance as well as Carl Lewis and others, so watch your national news.

Are you guys staying on the "Green" or do you have to come and go through security twice a day?
